'The New Side' was a series of PowerPoints based on Doctor Who by Luke Norris (10th Doctor) and Ross Wingate (Doctor Who New). It featured the Doctor and Rose Tyler in 10 comedic adventures. It all started in May 2006 when Luke Norris created a PowerPoint called Doctor Who and Stuff' (just for fun)! It was seen by Ross and enjoyed which triggered the creation of the 1st series and made 'Sex and Specs', the pilot episode of The New Side! Ross later joined to create Episode 3 and another 4! In between the making of Series 1, this website was made plus a Freewebs site to host the episodes! Shortly after episode 10. Some people requested a CD of the whole series, which was made and given away in a competition! Inbetween the end of series 1 and the start of series 2, two short stories were written called 'Hello, My Name is The Doctor' and 'The Two Doctors'. A few months later Series 2 was started. Another 10 episodes was planned, but only 1 was released and the show was cancelled. Shortly after a short spin-off called 'Parallel Adventures' with Rose as defender of the Earth. Only the pilot episode was released and it was cancelled too. Over a year later, the site was remade as an archive and another spin-off was planned (instead of PowerPoint, Movie Maker will be used)!
